Manshausen / Leinesfjord, Norway

These award-winning sea cabins make for one of the most unique experiences, so it’s no surprise they quickly became a top destination for enthusiastic globetrotters.

We love architecture that allows you to feel immersed in nature and Manshausen in Nordland Norway offers exactly that! These award-winning sea cabins make for one of the most unique experiences a traveler can have, so it’s no surprise they quickly became a top destination for many enthusiastic globetrotters. Designed with sophisticated simplicity in mind, while opening up the rooms to the surroundings to enhance the guests’ connection to nature, the property manages to bridge together adventure and relaxation without becoming gimmicky or referential.

Manshausen is composed of fourteen buildings, seven of which are bedroom cabins with their own private view of the ocean that adds to the scenic experience. The remaining ones are shared areas, such as the main house, restaurant, and library, as well as a conference room and the expedition loft with its dormitory accommodation. True to the Scandinavian lifestyle, they also offer a hot tub and a sauna, perfect for relaxation after a long day of outdoor activities. The location offers both tranquillity and a variety of different activities, such as kayaking, fishing, hiking or rock-climbing, and you can even book a glacier trek on the mainland.
